EQUIP AUTO Lyon 2023 draws ever moreexhibitors and unveils its programme
For its first Lyon edition, the reference event for innovation in the automotive aftermarket and services for mobility has set its sights on attracting no fewer than 400 exhibitors and brands, and 30,000 professionals across a surface area of 30,000 sqm.
With nearly 70% of the exhibitor target signed up to date, including 35% from outside France, EQUIP AUTO Lyon reiterates its intention to be a venue in France that harnesses headline events to brings together the entire French, European and international aftermarket. The show displays a very positive trajectory, drawing leading industry names, its loyal exhibitors and 20% of first timers. This widespread mobilisation sets the stage for a very promising first Lyon edition.
Organised in the centre of an economic region with high international potential, this show will be co-located with the Lyon Motor Show (Salon Automobile de Lyon), with a shared desire to create an annual meeting for the entire automotive and mobility value chain.

FACILITATING DIALOGUE IN EACH MARKET
EQUIP AUTO Lyon 2023 will present its usual comprehensive offering, fully representative of the market, with five exclusive and clearly identified theme areas, known as Villages, open to all industry players:
➢ Tyre and Innovation Village
In partnership with the French Tyre Association, many organisations will be out in force on this space (manufacturers, retailers, parts suppliers, networks) which will include an exclusive exhibition on 100 years of technological innovation and several concepts relating to tomorrow's mobility.
➢ Univers VO (Car remarketing) Village
In partnership with Univers VO, the members of the automotive remarketing sector will be in attendance: supply, logistics, vehicle recovery / preparation / refurbishment, data, digital marketing, CRM/DMS, warranty and finance. More than 35 exhibitors are expected on a 600 sqm space.
➢ Reusable Parts Village: Remanufacturing, Repairability, Reuse
Companies will come together around the topics of remanufacturing, repairability and reuse, shining a light on parts from the circular economy in all their diversity, from second-hand parts to remanufactured parts. This Reusable Parts Village is organised in association with FRANCE AUTO REMAN, FEDEREC and MOBILIANS.
➢ Bodywork-Paintwork Village
In partnership with the French Bodywork Federation, the sixth edition of this Village will bring together parts suppliers specialising in bodywork who will present their new solutions and know-how.
➢ Startups Village The exhibition offers a forum for new start-ups, investors and vehicle servicing and repair professionals working in the aftermarket and mobility fields. On the agenda: tangible solutions to the sector’s current problems
TALKS CYCLE: DECIPHERING TODAY’S KEY ISSUES
EQUIP AUTO Lyon 2023 will also confirm its vocation as an industry hub through a programme of talks focussing on users, and automotive maintenance and service professionals. A concentrate of information, thought leadership, and decision support over three days, with:
➢ 3 Major Forums:
- A journey to the centre of part and service distribution in Europe (on 28/09, from 15:30 to 17:00)
- Motorised two-wheelers: an aftermarket worth discovering (on 29/09, from 11:10 to 12:10)
- Hydrogen: an alternative to decarbonise mobility (on 29/09, from 15:45 to 17:00)
➢ 12 talks
- Sustainable development and ecology, with Remanufacturing, Reusable Parts, Recycling and disposal of automotive waste and components.
- New maintenance technology, with S.O.H. (State Of Health) of electric vehicle batteries, new equipment for ADAS recalibration, and European maintenance data news.
- Product and service innovation, with talks on Tyres, Bodywork, Conventional Vehicle servicing, War washes, Customer relations.
- Human resources, with a focus on Recruitment difficulties.
INNOVATION IN THE SPOTLIGHT
The exhibition will also be the backdrop for the presentation of the EQUIP AUTO Lyon 2023 Automotive Innovation Awards in the following categories: Engineering, Bodywork, Repairs & Maintenance, Services for professionals. The innovations will be selected by a panel made up of French and international experts, and will be required to demonstrate a genuine user benefit.
